A team built on a Christian based athletic experience. Playing public and private schools along with other independent football organizations.
Conditioning starts in the late spring and runs through to the first practice. Football is a very intense sport, so we want to make sure we give our athletes a solid foundation for practices, games and to help avoid injury. This is also a great time for the boys to get to know each other in a more relaxed environment.
Each year we kick off the season with a camp. During camp they run several practices, ice breaking exercises and other activities to help the team get to know each other and start the season off in the best way possible. Camp is something the players truly look forward to each year.
Practices are at Freedom Park in Greenwood IN
they run Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Each practice starts at 6:00pm and ends at 8:00pm. Depending on game schedule practices may be added to Friday.
We run a full schedule, games are on Fridays and Saturdays. We always ask our players to show up 1.5 hours early to prepare for kickoff. We love to see the stands full of people supporting our team so, don't forget to invite your family and friends.
The Crimson Knights were founded in 2010 by a pastor with a homeschooled son who wanted to play football. Since then, the organization has grown adding a middle school team and cheerleading. While adhering to the principles the team was founded under. We strive to provide as much time as we can to the team to spend together and bond while also making this something the players can do year-round. Outside of games and practices we offer multiple other activities such as.
*Off Season Conditioning - This is very important to our team as it allows the players to start working out not only to build strength but to help avoid injury.
*Call out meetings- This allows players to come and check out our team and meet with our coaches.
*Combine- Normally hosted at Freedom Park this is when our coaches take the time to perform a skills assessment and see each players strengths and weaknesses.
*Season Kick off Cookout- This is such a wonderful opportunity for players to spend time with their team off the field but also a great time for the families to get to meet and talk.
*Homecoming Dance- We have a dance each year sponsored by the team to really give the full varsity experience to our players, but it is open to all homeschooled kids and their friends.
*Senior Night Game- A fantastic game with a wonderful halftime dance done by our cheerleaders and an opportunity to celebrate our seniors and all of the amazing things they have done both on and off the field.
*End of Season Cookout- Hosted between the last game and Florida a great way to bring families and players together before the tournament.
*Social Outings - We like to organize social outings for the players together off the field during the season so they can really get to know each other and build friendships and during the off season to keep the team together and give fun opportunities for the players to meet up and spend time together.
*Banquet- After the season ends and the holidays pass, we host a banquet for the team to look back on the year previous and discuss looking forward to the next season.
*Winter Dance- This most recent addition to our calendar has been a huge hit with an opportunity to get together with friends to dance and have dinner.
